Psychotherapy
East Riding of Yorkshire & Online
Psychotherapy can’t undo what’s happened to you, but it can help you shift the way you relate to your experiences, enabling you to lead a life that feels more fulfilling, freer, and true to who you are.
You might be noticing that your usual ways of coping no longer seem to help. Perhaps you're struggling with parts of yourself that feel 'wrong' or not good enough. Maybe day-to-day life feels more difficult, or the noise in your head feels relentless. You might feel flat, empty, or disconnected. Or perhaps your relationships feel confusing, or as though something is missing.
This list isn't exhaustive – therapy is a deeply personal experience. However you arrive, I'll support you in truly getting to know yourself, especially the parts that learned to stay safe by staying small, hiding in plain sight, suppressing your needs, avoiding conflict, overthinking every decision, or striving for perfection. We'll explore how these patterns once helped protect you, but may now be preventing you from living the life you want.
At your own pace, we’ll explore the deeper beliefs you hold about yourself, creating space for new ways of being that align with your true needs. This process will help bring forward parts of yourself that have been held back, enriching how you relate to others, how you treat yourself, and how you make decisions each day.

About Me
I combine professional training with lived experience in my work, with a strong commitment to respecting and honouring each individual’s unique identity, experiences and needs. My approach is trauma-informed, and I prioritise ongoing learning to ensure the support I offer is both safe and effective.
My approach to therapy is rooted in a relational-developmental framework, which emphasises the significant role that relationships – especially early ones – play in unconsciously shaping how we feel about ourselves and engage with the world around us. I support clients in noticing the patterns they've developed to protect themselves and exploring whether those patterns are preventing them from living the life they want.

I have a deep understanding of how trauma, neglect, difficult relationships and biases can shape our lives, influence our sense of self, and affect our relationships. Through my own experience in therapy, I’ve also learned how a therapeutic relationship that is respectful, accepting and emotionally safe can be transformative and healing. This personal experience inspired me to pursue professional training, so I could offer others the same kind of support.
Central to my work is creating a space where you can feel truly heard and known in every aspect of yourself. Just as we evolve through our early relationships, we can change and grow with the help of current ones, including the therapeutic relationship we build together. I’m here to help you make sense of your experiences, find words for what’s been hard to express, and help you feel what has been buried or denied, allowing you to reconnect with yourself and move toward a life that feels true and fulfilling.
Training and Qualifications
I have recently completed an advanced four-year postgraduate training programme in Relational Integrative Psychotherapy and am working towards accreditation. My training and membership are with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), the leading organisation for psychotherapists in the UK. I adhere to their code of ethics and maintain high professional standards through ongoing development.
I hold full professional liability insurance and attend regular clinical supervision to ensure that I am equipped to provide ethical and meaningful support to my clients.
